  • LEGOLAND Discovery Centre: if there is one place that was designed with kids in mind it is this one. Adults can’t even enter without a child! But when you do, there are lots of things to explore, rides to take and contraptions to build.
  • SEA LIFE: the underwater world has a magical quality that captures the imagination no matter how old you are.
  • Little BIG City: here children are giants as they explore different periods of Berlin’s history with interactive miniatures of the city.
  • Madame Tussauds: this is where the entire family can meet their favourite celebrities. From football stars to movie stars and from famous German politicians to famous German philosophers and scientists, they all hang out at Madame Tussauds.
  • Zoo Berlin: the oldest zoo of Germany is fun for the whole family and sits at the heart of the city in Tiergarten.
  • Jewish Museum: the largest Jewish Museum in Europe has a dedicated Children’s Museum: ANOHA which encourages their youngest guests to think about the respectful coexistence of people, animals, and nature.

Things to do in Berlin with family

When you are visiting Berlin with your family you will want an easy way to make your way around the city to visit all the attractions and touristic sights on your itinerary. The Hop-on Hop-off family ticket is perfect for this, as it gives access to the Berlin City Sightseeing bus for 2 adults and 3 children. Like the regular bus ticket, you can book this ticket for either 24 or 48 hours.

There are enough Berlin family activities to fill several days. Along with the tourist attractions, there are the many historical sights that are good for families to explore together and learn from together. A visit to the Memorial of Murdered Jews and its underground exhibition remind us not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
