The rich history of the city of Berlin has resulted in plenty of sights to see. A little over 100 years ago Berlin was the capital of the German Empire and just 35 years ago the city was split in half until the fall of the Berlin Wall. Today the city celebrates freedom and diversity without forgetting its past.

There is so much to see and do in Berlin, many things are related to the city and the country's past. For example, you can see how the city grew at Little BIG City or explore its murky past at The Berlin Dungeon. Or visit the DDR Museum to learn more about what life what like in the city when it was split in two by the Berlin Wall. The departure point for the Cruise on the Spree is across the water from the Humboldt Forum.

Not all sights in the Berlin are marked by the city's history though. You can climb to the top of the TV-Tower on Alexanderplatz for an amazing view or enjoy the greenery of Tiergarten. Go shopping on Ku'damm or explore the Art Nouveau courtyards of Hackesche Höfe. With this Hop-on Hop-off bus you can discover the German capital at your own pace.
