Go egg hunting at the Berlin Icebar

The Berlin Icebar is a unique place to visit and, as you might have guessed, it’s a bar made entirely of ice. You start in a warm room, but quickly put on a coat and gloves before boarding the ship Hansa. Here, you’ll experience the story of the 1896 Hansa crew who became trapped in polar ice. That’s when the real adventure begins. You step into a freezing world of -10 degrees, where everything is made of ice, including the glasses! Admire the impressive ice sculptures, enjoy your drinks and experience what it’s like to be at the North Pole for a moment.

During the Easter period from 30 March to 12 April 2026, it gets even more fun: Easter eggs are hidden in the warmer part of the Berlin Icebar. Go on a hunt, because for every egg you find, you get a free shot! Challenge your friends and find out who’s the best egg hunter! Our tip: book in advance, as this popular outing gets fully booked quickly. How many eggs do you think you’ll find?

Visit the Tree Blossom Festival

Between 30 March and 19 April, the grounds next to Gutspark Britz will be transformed into a cheerful Easter wonderland during the annual Easter Festival. This year, the festival celebrates its 70th edition and is all about spring, colour and fun! There’s plenty to do: fairground rides, musicals, live performances and fun activities for children. On the first and second days of Easter, the Easter Bunny will be visiting, and the little ones can paint eggs or take a photo with him.

The festival is open daily from 2 pm to 10 pm and on Sundays from 12 pm. Entry to the festival is free, but there is a small charge for some attractions. Tip: Wednesdays are family days, with discounts on various attractions and trains, perfect for enjoying with the whole family. And of course, good food is a must. Stroll past the stalls, try a traditional German sausage or enjoy a beer in the cosy beer garden. With fun for young and old alike, the Easter Festival in Gutspark Britz is a must during your spring visit to Berlin!

Admire the Easter bonfire

On Saturday 4 April, you can admire an atmospheric Easter bonfire in the Britzer Garten. As soon as the sun goes down, the fire is lit, creating a cosy, warm atmosphere. Enjoy the impressive fire whilst listening to live music. During the Easter weekend, there is plenty more to do in the park, such as an Easter egg hunt and other fun activities. Feel free to bring a blanket and make a relaxing picnic of it – the perfect way to celebrate Easter in Berlin!

Visit the Easter Market at Potsdamer Platz

Berlin comes alive with vibrant Easter markets at this time of year, and the one at Potsdamer Platz is among the city’s most popular. It’s open from 3 to 12 April, from 11 am to 10 pm. Here, you can wander past stalls selling handmade Easter decorations, jewellery, and other charming crafts. In addition to shopping for unique gifts, you can stop for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink in the large beer garden, while live music plays, creating a cheerful spring atmosphere. Children can look forward to a visit from the Easter bunny on Easter Sunday and enjoy a ride on the carousel. Whether you come to enjoy the food, take a stroll, or simply soak up the festive mood, this Easter market is the ideal place to spend a few relaxing hours with friends or family in the heart of Berlin.
